Things That Make you go Ahhh…

wetdream-200I received another great review for Wet Dream this week, and I have to tell you how very satisfying it is. When you work on something for weeks, tweeking and tidying, and throw it out into the world, it’s like you throw a piece of you out there. To be judged or condemned, ridiculed or possibly, hopefully loved. It’s a very tense experience when you see an email or notification from a review site with your name on it. For a heartbeat of time, you don’t want to open it. If it’s bad news, and you don’t read it, you won’t technically know about it, right? But you have to. You have to know what that person had to say about your baby. When the review is bad, or even luke warm, it hurts your heart. I’ve never gotten a terrible review, but I live in fear of the day I do.

But for now, I’ll enjoy the Good review I just received from Romancing The Book. Here’s part of it: I enjoyed every one of these twenty-four pages, and if you’ve read my reviews you know that’s saying a lot. Usually with pieces this short the reader is left feeling like something was neglected or left out. This is not the case with Wet Dream. Ms. Madden managed to weave an intriguing, touching and at times humorous tale together with molten lava loving to create a page turner. If you haven’t read this one yet, I suggest you go pick it up and allow yourself a mini break to be swept away into a different world.

 Thank You Shyla.

Still Writing

wetdream-300

Wet Dream is still getting great reviews. I’ve been trying to promote the heck out of this book, and am always looking for new places to blog.

I’m still writing on other projects too. Still plan to self-publish, although the dragon series is taking me a while to put together. May release a couple of contemporaries in the mean time.

Progress Report

dragon menderSo, Wet Dream has been out for about 2 weeks now, and it seems to be doing very well. I was number one bestseller for chick-lit for a week at All Romance Ebooks, and even now I’m still in number 4. I’ve gotten several 4.5 and 5 star reviews and a lot of great feedback from readers. I’m so happy with this book right now.

I’m tossing around the idea of doing a second 1 Night Stand book, male/male, but we’ll have to see how the cards fall.

I’m also working on a dragon series to release independently. This picture is what gave me the idea for it. The artist’s name is Elena Dudina, and I absolutely love her work. There are several more in the eye candy section.

I don’t have a release date for the dragon series, but I would like to get the first one out within the next couple of months. I will keep the site updated.

Wet Dream is out!!!!!

I know. It seems like I just said this with Urban Moon. They were actually released about one month apart, but they are so very different content-wise. UM is a little darker urban fantasy, Wet Dream is romance with erotic elements. Both were fantastic to write.

Wet Dream is about a one night stand, and the possibilities that occur when things don’t go as planned. I learned so much writing this book, and I really hope you buy it.

Ex-FBI agent Ginger Hampton is not surprised when her date is a no show. Madame Evangeline, owner of 1NightStand promised her a perfect night…but Ginger is used to disappointment in love. The fact that she’s six feet tall, model perfect and owns her own high-end security firm tends to intimidate men. In spite of herself, she’d had high hopes for this date.

Madame Eve’s email had told him to watch for a woman in distress, and the woman at the bar is exactly that. Chief of Security Cameron Jones doesn’t see himself as a hero, but he’s willing to check on a special guest for his boss. He doesn’t realize until he sees her face that it’s Ginger Hampton, his own personal weak spot. She’s not turned off by his brutal scarring, and even flirts as if she’s interested. When he escorts her to her room, does he have the balls to respond to her interest, and stay the night? How can he say no to…his own personal wet dream?

Catching Up

So, Second Time Around has been out for about 2½  months now, and it’s finally sinking in that I am published. Working on edits right now for the Urban Fantasy  I have coming out in the spring, and finishing up several other projects. I’m going to be looking for a home for them soon.

Hope you like the revamped website. The other one was pretty, but too dark and too boring. I’ve added several new things, including an Eye Candy (?) Page that I love.

Saturday, I’m a busy girl. I’ll be in Lexington for the Pitch meeting we’re having in preparation of the Scott Eagan Workshop in March (info for that is also to the left). The Awesome Maddie James is teaching the class tomorrow, and if any of you are within driving distance give me a holler and I will give you directions.

Also saturday, I will be at Deena Remiels blog talking about some crazy happenings when I was a cop, and the inspiration for Second Time Around. Her link is to the right. I will be running around, but I will stop in to comment here and there.

Also, I have to give a shout-out to Sherry Cahill. She read my book and did a wonderful blog about it I only found out about later. It’s here.

As always, if you find anything wrong with the website, please let me know!
