So, Wet Dream has been out for about 2 weeks now, and it seems to be doing very well. I was number one bestseller for chick-lit for a week at All Romance Ebooks, and even now I’m still in number 4. I’ve gotten several 4.5 and 5 star reviews and a lot of great feedback from readers. I’m so happy with this book right now.
I’m tossing around the idea of doing a second 1 Night Stand book, male/male, but we’ll have to see how the cards fall.
I’m also working on a dragon series to release independently. This picture is what gave me the idea for it. The artist’s name is Elena Dudina, and I absolutely love her work. There are several more in the eye candy section.
I don’t have a release date for the dragon series, but I would like to get the first one out within the next couple of months. I will keep the site updated.
I know. It seems like I just said this with Urban Moon. They were actually released about one month apart, but they are so very different content-wise. UM is a little darker urban fantasy, Wet Dream is romance with erotic elements. Both were fantastic to write.
Wet Dream is about a one night stand, and the possibilities that occur when things don’t go as planned. I learned so much writing this book, and I really hope you buy it.
Ex-FBI agent Ginger Hampton is not surprised when her date is a no show. Madame Evangeline, owner of 1NightStand promised her a perfect night…but Ginger is used to disappointment in love. The fact that she’s six feet tall, model perfect and owns her own high-end security firm tends to intimidate men. In spite of herself, she’d had high hopes for this date.
Madame Eve’s email had told him to watch for a woman in distress, and the woman at the bar is exactly that. Chief of Security Cameron Jones doesn’t see himself as a hero, but he’s willing to check on a special guest for his boss. He doesn’t realize until he sees her face that it’s Ginger Hampton, his own personal weak spot. She’s not turned off by his brutal scarring, and even flirts as if she’s interested. When he escorts her to her room, does he have the balls to respond to her interest, and stay the night? How can he say no to…his own personal wet dream?
The anthology Urban Moon is out, with my contribution of Burning Moonlight. It’s the first Urban Fantasy I’ve ever written, but it definitely won’t be the last! I had a blast doing it, and the people at Bonaparte Press are phenomenal! The other authors in the anthology are Ceci Dahl, Rina Josephe and Ava Chandler, three up and coming new writers.
We’re at Amazon here.
Anything goes under an Urban Moon.
Wrena, a Retriever, is hired to bring home a wayward princess while working with J’Har, a Fallen Shirwa. J’Har is a warrior both revered and shunned by her people. Both must complete the task while fighting off their growing attraction in Burning Moonlight by J.M. Madden.
Dmitri, a computer specialist, is good at finding hidden things. This time, he’s found a girl in the most unlikely of places. But that’s not all that’s strange in Rocky Top. Before he knows it he’s neck deep in trouble, and needing a rescue from reluctant heroine Thea Duffy, in Secret Muse by Ceci Dahl.
Riyad, a vampire prince, is imprisoned by Pyre Hunters, tortured and left for dead. Keeper 44 is being tested and is assigned to save him. Until they uncover a deadly secret powerful enough to bring down both their races in Midnight Pyre by Rina Josephe.
Merik Larson is a Watcher, a cool and efficient soldier. He must balance the ruthless power of the Assembly with his growing passion for the empathic Sonia Vierra. Who will win in Watcher’s Sacrifice by Ava Chandler?
So, the urban fantasy I wrote for the anthology at Bonaparte Press will be out soon, and this is the cover.Mine is titled Burning Moonlight, and it’s different that what I normally write, but I enjoyed doing it. I think this girl’s damn hot, and so like my heroine Wrena! Very Underworld-esque.
I submitted a story to Decadent for their 1NS Series, and it was accepted as well! It’s a phenomenal series, so well-written, and I’m so freakin’ jazzed right now. The story, titled Wet Dream (I know, ornery, huh?) won’t be out until the latter part of the summer. Decadent does their process a little different though, so I already have my cover! Yahoo! Dara England rocks!
So, Second Time Around has been out for about 2½ months now, and it’s finally sinking in that I am published. Working on edits right now for the Urban Fantasy I have coming out in the spring, and finishing up several other projects. I’m going to be looking for a home for them soon.
Hope you like the revamped website. The other one was pretty, but too dark and too boring. I’ve added several new things, including an Eye Candy (?) Page that I love.
Saturday, I’m a busy girl. I’ll be in Lexington for the Pitch meeting we’re having in preparation of the Scott Eagan Workshop in March (info for that is also to the left). The Awesome Maddie James is teaching the class tomorrow, and if any of you are within driving distance give me a holler and I will give you directions.
Also saturday, I will be at Deena Remiels blog talking about some crazy happenings when I was a cop, and the inspiration for Second Time Around. Her link is to the right. I will be running around, but I will stop in to comment here and there.
Also, I have to give a shout-out to Sherry Cahill. She read my book and did a wonderful blog about it I only found out about later. It’s here.
As always, if you find anything wrong with the website, please let me know!
My book released on December 28th, and I’m really pleased with the results. I don’t know what sales are like yet, of course. Probably won’t know for several months, but I’ve already gotten a great review. Patrizia at Manic Readers gave me a 4.5 out of 5!!! You can check it out here: http://www.manicreaders.com/index.cfm?disp=reviews&bookid=10564
